British singer DIDO has dismissed suggestions she named her baby son after her famous EMINEM collaboration.

The White Flag star shot to international fame after the rapper sampled her track Thank You in his hit single Stan, and many fans assumed the song inspired the name for her 18-month-old son Stanley.

However, Dido is adamant her child's name has nothing to do with the Eminem track.

She tells the London Evening Standard newspaper, "(There is) no connection. Stanley has always been my favourite name."
