While earlier this week there were murmurs that Khloe Kardashian is in strong talks to host the newest edition of X Factor in the U.S., a FOX insider has told PerezHilton.com EXCLUSIVELY that Khloe has nothing in the can yet.

In fact, there is another gal WAY further ahead in the running and we think, if all goes well, she'll end up being the network's choice!

Sources are reporting to us that Kelly Osbourne is FOX's top pick to host the show, explaining that her years of experience on television AND in music give her the edge against the Kardashian sis.

Our insider reveals: "Everyone loved Khloe, but honestly, she doesn't have enough hosting experience. Kelly, on the other hand, is pretty well-versed. Production is definitely leaning towards Kelly."
