Christina Aguilera is considering launching a legal spat with the bosses of a news website after they suggested she had abused her son.
A photo of the singer's kid Max sporting what looked like a black eye was posted online on Wednesday (24Aug11) and MediaTakeOut.com implied Aguilera was responsible for the injury.
Editors published the photo under the headline, 'CHILD ABUSE???? CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S SON IS PHOTO'D WITH A BLACK EYE!!!'
The claim has upset Aguilera and her attorney, Eric Greenspan, has fired off a letter to MediaTakeOut.com's bosses, stating, "Christina is a wonderful mother and was not present in the park when Max fell and hurt himself.
"To imply that she had something to do with this incident, without any investigation on your part whatsoever, is reckless and unconscionable."
According to TMZ.com, Greenspan has threatened to pursue legal action. The website has removed the reference to child abuse from the story.
Sources close to Aguilera claim little Max was injured when he fell while playing in a park.
