Newly single KATY PERRY has got the blues following her split from RUSSELL BRAND - she was spotted in public for the first time since their breakup, sporting a cobalt-coloured hairstyle.

The I Kissed a Girl singer has remained under the radar since the British funnyman filed for divorce on 30 December (11) after 14 months of marriage.

She pulled out of Wednesday's (11Jan12) People's Choice Awards, despite being up for seven trophies, but happily posed for fans the following day - showing off her striking new locks.

In a picture obtained by TMZ.com, the singer sports a vibrant blue hairstyle while posing with a fan and smiling. The snap was taken on the set of a new Adidas commercial she is filming in California.
