Australian Prank Call DJs speak out for the first time

Mel Greig and Michael Christian, the Australian DJs behind a prank call to Kate Middleton’s hospital have lost their radio show following a fierce international backlash over the suicide of a nurse caught up in the stunt.

Radio bosses released a statement saying the show has been axed and they have also banned any further prank calls.

The statement also reads, “A number of actions have been taken since the events took place, including; The suspension of all advertising on 2Day FM until further notice; The termination of 2Day FM's Hot 30 show; A Company-wide suspension of 'prank' calls; A comprehensive review of relevant company policies and processes."

Mel and Michael sat down with TV show "A Current Affair" yesterday to speak out for the first time following the tragic events that occurred following their prank call last week.
