Adele has had no choice but to cancel her shows for the rest of 2011 in order to undergo throat surgery and to give it a rest.

Columbia Records made a statement saying:

"She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate."

Adele has pulled out of several shows this year because of vocal chord issues.
