ADELE has taken to Twitter to address false reports she and CHRIS BROWN were involved in a stand-off at the Grammy Awards on Sunday

The singers were photographed in what appeared to be an angry exchange at the ceremony, leading gossips to suggest the Brit was barking at the R&B star for refusing to stand up and applaud when Frank Ocean hit the stage to collect a Best Urban Contemporary Album award for Channel Orange.

Brown, who was nominated for the honour, sparked controversy when he was spotted sitting in the front row while those around him stood up to congratulate Ocean.

Brown and Ocean were involved in a car park scuffle in Los Angeles last month.

But Adele has now addressed the drama in a tweet, writing, "Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!"
