This girl was born deaf and 8 weeks ago received a hearing implant. This is the video of them turning it on and her hearing herself for the first time!

    some people when born deaf speak in a distinct tone but in my family where many ARE deaf and some completely and from birth speak as clearly as anyone else. i've never understood why this happens with some and not others. This vid is awesome. modern science amazing.
